Man Shot And Killed While Driving Car In Washington Heights: Police
Police found a car wrecked on Wednesday night near West 181st Street and Amsterdam Avenue. The driver had been shot in the torso, NYPD said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man was shot and killed while driving a pickup truck in Washington Heights on Wednesday, police said.
Around 10:43 p.m. near the Washington Bridge Ramp at West 181st Street and Amsterdam Avenue, police found a red Dodge pickup truck wrecked after striking a section of the entrance ramp for the Cross Bronx Expressway, NYPD said.
Law enforcement peered into the truck to find a 41-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.

Emergency services rushed him to the Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His identity is pending proper family notification.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
It is the second time this week that a man was shot in the torso and killed in Upper Manhattan.
On Monday night, NYPD found Erni Garcia, 24, lying in front of 187 Sherman Ave. with a gunshot wound to his chest, police said.
The two men were pronounced dead at the same hospital.
