Man Repeatedly Shot In Backseat Of Car In Washington Heights: PD

A 26-year-old man survived after getting shot at least four times near West 174th Street and Broadway, police said on Friday.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man survived after getting shot multiple times in Washington Heights, including in the face, police said on Friday.

Around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, a 26-year-old man was sitting in the back of a car at 4126 Broadway, near West 174th Street, when another man approached from behind and fired multiple shots, police said.

The victim was hit twice in the right arm, once in the left arm, and also suffered a graze wound to the face, police said.

The shooter then fled east on West 174th Street toward Wadsworth Avenue, while the 26-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital and was treated for his injuries, police said.
