WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - Four men seen fleeing a Manhattan coffee shop where a man was stabbed multiple times Tuesday evening are being sought by the NYPD, authorities told Patch.

The chaos erupted inside Milo Coffee Shop in Washington Heights about 6 p.m. when a shirtless man entered the storefront and ran towards the back, police said.

Four men entered the store shortly thereafter, with one stabbing the man in the neck, police added.

The 39-year-old victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where he was listed in critical, and later stable, condition, police said.

Surveillance footage obtained by NBC New York shows workers and a customer fighting the men out of the shop - some with bar stools - while two women employees and a small child hid behind the counter.
