WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — There comes a time in every New Yorker's life when we must ask ourselves, do I live in a rat hole?

The city is here to help answer that very important question with a very disturbing map that tracks rat sightings on a street-by-street level.

Washington Heights and Inwood residents take note: the Rat Information Portal map shows neighborhood parks, including Fort Tryon Park, J. Hood Wright Park, and Highbridge Park, are very much hot spots.

You can put your specific address into the map to see how your uptown block has done on its most recent rat inspection.
