NYC Weekend Events: What's On May 13-14

NEW YORK, NY — The weather is making its way into the 80s and there is plenty to do around New York City in the coming days.

This weekend's events include a Japan parade, a sheep sheering festival, and much more.

Saturday

Japan Parade: Upper West Side, Manhattan

The Japan Parade is returning to the Upper West Side on Saturday with a parade and street festival.

There will be 20 tents serving authentic Japanese food, along with other fun activities.

Sheep Shearing Festival: Little Neck, Queens

Dubbed as NYC's only sheep sheering festival, the annual event will take place at the Queens County Farm Museum on Saturday.

You can learn about the cycle of wool, take a tour of the farm, find out more about weaving, and take your best shot at a free scavenger hunt.

Blue Man Group at Astor Place: Lower Manhattan

Blue Man Group will rock your world, so says the famous music group's website.

The three blue and bald men will be performing three shows at Astor Place on Saturday.

Sunday

Theo Von at the Beacon Theater: Upper West Side, Manhattan

The stand-up comedian will be taking his talents to the Beacon Theater on Saturday and Sunday.

The show will start at 7 p.m.

Museum of Failure: Brooklyn

Nothing says "Happy Mother's Day! I'm sorry I'm such a disappointment" like a visit to The Museum of Failure.

The roving museum in Brooklyn's Industry is a collection of failed products and services from around the world.

Gazillion Bubble Show: Midtown Manhattan

Ever want to see a gazillion bubbles?

The long-running New York City show combines light and laser effects with masterful bubble artistry. The show will take place at noon on Sunday at 340 W. 50th St.
