Here's are those New York City events still slated to go on this weekend despite the ongoing wildfire smoke situation.

NEW YORK, NY — It has been a unique week in New York City with the wildfire smoke from Canada, but there is still a multitude of events and activities slated for this weekend.
This weekend's events include the Governors Ball music festival in Queens and a vintage bus festival under the Brooklyn Bridge.

Saturday
Brooklyn Pride: Various Locations, Brooklyn

Brooklyn Pride is set to take place on Saturday with a variety of events, including a 5K run/walk, a festival, a music show, and a parade.
The parade will go from 7:30 to 10 p.m. on Fifth Avenue from Lincoln Place to 9th Street.

New York Salsa Festival: Barclays Center, Brooklyn
The New York Salsa Festival will take place at the Barclay's Center at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
It will feature Willie Colon, El Gran Combo, Victor Manuelle, Grupo Niche, Oscar De Leon, and more.

Bus Festival: Underneath Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn
The New York Transit Museum is hosting its Bus Festival on Saturday underneath the Brooklyn Bridge within the Emily Warren Roebling Plaza.
There will vintage buses and surface vehicles representing 90 years of New York City surface transit history.

116th Street Festival: East Harlem, Manhattan
The 116th Street Festival will celebrate Puerto Rican and Hispanic culture on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The festival encompasses 20 blocks and will feature music, food, celebration and more.

Sunday
Governors Ball: Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens
The popular annual music festival is taking place this weekend in a new New York City location.
The three days of concerts, Friday through Sunday, will take place in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The headliners are Lizzo, Odesza, and Kendrick Lamar.

Shakespeare in the Park: Central Park, Manhattan
The smoke from the Canada wildfires canceled the first two performances of the new Shakespeare in the Park season, but the performances are expected to take place on Saturday and Sunday.
The Public Theater is performing "Hamlet" at the iconic Delacorte Theater.

Pride in the Bronx: Orchard Beach, Bronx
The Parks Department is hosting a special event on Sunday to learn about the history and significance of Orchard Beach within the LGBTQ+ community.
It will be led by Park Rangers in Section 2 of Orchard Beach in Pelham Bay Park, Bronx.
