Wash Heights Amtrak Tracks Crash Claims Third Life: Cops
A man's body was found underneath a car that crashed onto Amtrak tracks near the Henry Hudson Parkway Monday morning, police said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man's body was found underneath the car that lost control on the Henry Hudson Parkway Monday and landed on Amtrak tracks below, bringing the total death count of the explosive crash to three, police said.
Police reported the third death Monday evening, hours after the 2018 BMW sedan hit a median near West 181st Street, veered off the roadway, hit the tracks and was "engulfed in flames."
Driver Edgar Valette, 39, died from his injuries after he was thrown from the car, police said.

The fiery crash happened around 1:45 a.m, police said.
