Police Release Photos Of Uptown 'Halloween' Shooting Suspect

The gunman shot a 17-year-old girl and 24-year-old man while disguised as "Haloween" villain Michael Myers.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD have released photos of a suspect wanted for shooting two people in Washington Heights on Halloween while dressed as a horror movie villain.

The accused gunman approached a 17-year-old girl and 24-year-old man in front of a building on West 163rd Street between Broadway and Fort Washington Avenue around 2 a.m. on the morning after Halloween and opened fire, police said.

Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and torso and were taken to local hospitals, police said. The girl was in critical, but stable condition, and the man was in stable condition, police said.

The gunman, who was wearing a mask of villain Michael Myers from the "Halloween" movies, fled the scene of the shooting and has not been arrested, police said. Police are also seeking to question a man who was with the suspect before the shooting (second photo).

Police could not confirm a motive for the shooting, and said the crime is still under investigation.
