WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Police are hunting down a second suspect for a botched robbery-turned-murder in Washington Heights.
Kristopher Francisco is wanted on murder charges for the June 8 killing of 24-year-old Charles Reynoso in front of a building on West 166th Street, the NYPD's 33rd Precinct announced this week. A man named Michael Gomez has already been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the homicide, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 508 W. 166th St., between Audubon and Amsterdam avenues, around 5 a.m. and found Reynoso's body in front of the apartment building. EMS rushed Reynoso to Columbia University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police believe that Reynoso was shot during an attempted robbery and that he may have tried to fight off his robber. The Brooklyn man's aunt told the Daily News that it was going to be his birthday the weekend after the shooting, and that he had dreams of opening a day care center.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
