Pop Up Art Gallery Returns To Inwood

The gallery will showcase the works of Inwood artists during the months of November and December.

INWOOD, NY — An Inwood nonprofit organization will once again organize a pop up gallery in the neighborhood to celebrate the works of local artists.

Inwood Art Works will host two exhibits during the months of November and December to showcase artworks by more than eight local artist. The November exhibit is called "My Neighbor, the Artist," and the second is called "What the World Needs Now."

The gallery will be located in 4857 Broadway, a building known locally as "The Stack" that's located between Academy and West 204th streets. Admission to all gallery events will be free and open to the public, Inwood Art Works announced.

Artists whose work will be on display include Nadema Agard, Noah Baumwoll, Shane Bullock, Carol Diamond, Elissa Gore, Jeff Hoppa, Eva Nikolova and Dario Olega, Iwnood Art Works announced.

The exhibit "My Neighbor, the Artist" will curate "work that celebrates, showcases and connects to the neighborhood’s cultural community," and the exhibit "What the World Needs Now" will be more focused on activism and social change, organizers said.

The pop up gallery will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 6-10 p.m., on Saturdays from 12-8 p.m. and on Sundays from 12-6 p.m., organizers said. Exhibits will run from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31.
