A woman was walking near West 169th Street when a man snuck up behind her and snatched her phone, police said Tuesday.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A woman was walking in Washington Heights when a man wearing a skeleton sweatshirt snuck up behind her and snatched her phone, police said on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old woman was walking on West 169th Street between Broadway and Fort Washington avenues about 8 a.m. on Feb. 14, when a man came up from behind her and snatched her Galaxy cellphone from her hand, police said.
The man then ran off in an unknown direction, police said.

The phone is valued at $900.
The woman didn't report any injuries, police said.

NYPD described the suspect as a man between 30 and 35 years old, with a thin build, last seen wearing a black hoodie with a skeleton design on the front.
