WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized Friday morning after being slashed at a Washington Heights school, authorities said.

Police were called to Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School at 511 West 182 St. about 9:56 a.m. Friday after school officials reported the slash, police said.

Medics rushed the teen to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center to be treated for slash wounds to his left hand, police said. He was listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been announced as of Monday. The investigation is ongoing.
