Teenager Arrested For Inwood Hill Park Sexual Assault, Police Sai

INWOOD, NY — A teenager is facing charges for sexually assaulting and robbing a woman as she walked through an Inwood park, police said.

Alian Puello, 18, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with two counts of robbery, committing a criminal sexual act and criminal possession of a firearm, police said. Puello is accused of assaulting a woman in Inwood Hill Park after threatening her at gunpoint, police said.

A 37-year-old woman was walking through Inwood Hill Park near West 218th Street and Indian Road on Monday when she was approached by Puello, police said. Puello threatened the woman with a gun and forced her to perform a sexual act, police said.

The woman was also robbed of her wallet and iPhone, police said. She was treated for injuries at The Allen Hospital in Inwood, police said.
