Teenager Stabbed, Seriously Injured, In Washington Heights: Police
A teenager was stabbed in the back in Washington Heights on Wednesday evening, officials said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY – A 17-year-old male was walking northbound on St. Nicholas Avenue near 174th Street at about 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening when he was stabbed in the back with an unknown object, the NYPD confirmed.
“It wasn’t reported until sometime after that, and it looks like he ran to Harlem Hospital,” a police spokesperson told Patch.
The victim was “seriously physically injured,” police said, with a laceration to his back.

Although he was able to provide a description of the assailant, that information is not yet available, police said.
No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
