$30K Necklace Stolen At Gunpoint In Washington Heights: NYPD

The three perpetrators ran off on foot after the attack, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A 29-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint for a $30,000 necklace in Washington Heights on Jan. 6, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim was at 1370 Saint Nicholas Ave., between 178th Street and 179th Street, at 2:57 a.m. when three men approached him and displayed a gun.

Then, one of the men took the necklace off the victim, and then the group ran away, heading north on Saint Nicholas Avenue, police said.

Police said the victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene.

No arrests have been made yet, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.
