WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Two teenagers are dead and three more are in critical condition after the violent Washington Heights car crash on Monday, police revealed in an update on Tuesday.

A 16-year-old was driving a Hyundai Elantra with four other passengers on Audubon Avenue, when the car got hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by a 53-year-old man that was going west on West 179th Street, police said.

The impact stopped the Jeep, but caused the Elantra to lose control, smash into a parked car, and then flip over, police said.
