WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - New details have been revealed in the Washington Heights fish market robbery that left one victim fighting for his life early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The masked shooter, pictured in the photo above, walked into the Seafood King Fish Market at 3903 Broadway just before 2 a.m., showed a firearm and demanded cell phones from a store employee and a customer, police said.

The gunman also demanded cash from the register of the fish market.

While leaving the location, the gunman fired a shot, which struck a 37-year-old victim in the head, police said.

Medics rushed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Metropolitan where he was listed in critical condition.

The individual fled on foot in an unknown direction.
