Wash Heights Man Charged In Brother's Stabbing, NYPD Says

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - A Washington Heights man was charged after a dispute with his brothers resulted in a stabbing Tuesday, authorities said.

Dave Calderon, 40, of 160th Street, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

The three brothers were arguing near Fort Washington Avenue and West 160 Street about 6:30 a.m. when Calderon’s 50-year-old brother lunged at him and tried to cut into his shirt, police said.

At the same time, Calderon stabbed his older brother in the knee, causing a small laceration, police said. Medics later transported the 50-year-old to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.

The third brother fled the location before medics arrived, police said.
