Washington Heights Deli Robbed At Gunpoint: Police
A gun-wielding man grabbed $5,000 from a deli at 505 W. 179th St., before driving off in a gray sedan, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man with a silver gun robbed a deli in Washington Heights, police said.
Around 1:40 a.m. on June 20, a gun-wielding man walked into a deli at 505 W. 179th St. while it was closed and the employees were counting the cash from their register, police said over the weekend.
The man then pointed the gun, moved the employees to behind the counter, and demanded the money, police said.

The robber — who was wearing a hood, hat, face mask, and gloves — proceeded to grab $5,000 and walk out of the deli before driving off in a four-door gray sedan, police said.
There were no injuries and there has not been an arrest.
