Washington Heights Precinct Welcomes New Commanding Officer

After over two years in charge of the 33rd Precinct, Deputy Inspector Anthony Bello recently passed its leadership to Captain Bryan Natale.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The 33rd Precinct in Washington Heights has a new commanding officer after Deputy Inspector Anthony Bello recently handed over its leadership to Captain Bryan Natale.

"Captain Natale has been involved with the Washington Heights community for many years and we look forward to the great things he will accomplish," the 33rd Precinct wrote on Facebook.

Natale became a New York Police Department Officer in 2006, working his way up to Sergeant in 2011, Lieutenant in 2013, and Captain in 2015.

Over his 15 year career in the force, he's had zero allegations made against him for any sort of misconduct and has not been included in any lawsuit filed against the NYPD and city, according to a database by ProPublica.

Prior to his work in Washington Heights, Natale worked in the NYPD's Criminal Intelligence Section and the Midtown North Precinct.

Bello, who Natale is taking over from, became the commanding officer position at the 33rd Precinct in April 2019.
