Woman Punches Man On Subway In Washington Heights, Police Say

The 66-year-old victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a woman who attacked a man during a dispute on the subway, police said.

The unknown woman and the 66-year-old man were riding an uptown 1 train Monday through Washington Heights when they got into a verbal dispute, police said. When the train pulled into the West 191st Street station, the woman socked the man in the face and ran off the train, police said.

EMS took the man to Columbia University Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

The suspect is described as a woman in her 30s with a medium-length brown afro, brown eyes and a heavy build, police said. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, police said.
