Woman Sexually Assaulted, Robbed In Inwood Park, Police Say

Police are trying to identify the man who threatened a woman with a gun and sexually assaulted her inside Inwood Hill Park.

INWOOD, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted for sexually assaulting and robbing a woman in an Inwood park, police said.

A 37-year-old woman was walking through Inwood Hill Park near West 218th Street and Indian Road on Monday when she was approached by an unknown man, police said. The man threatened the woman with a gun and forced her to perform a sexual act, police said.

The woman was also robbed of her wallet and iPhone, police said. She was treated for injuries at The Allen Hospital in Inwood, police said.

The suspect is described as a man with a slim build and dark complexion, police said. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black & red sneakers and a black & red back pack.
