WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - A 26-year-old woman was shot in Washington Heights after a parking dispute escalated Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The victim was shot in the right leg about 4:30 p.m. following a dispute over parking at a garage at 671 W 184th St., police said.

Medics rushed the woman to Harlem Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

The male suspect took off on foot, police said. He was last seen wearing a yellow waist-length jacket and sporting close-cut hair.

The investigation remains ongoing.
