72-Year-Old Man Punched In Face By Half-Nude Near West Village: NYPD
The shirtless attacker was being chatty with the man prior to swinging his fist, officials said.

CHELSEA, NY — A strange and shirtless man slugged a septuagenarian in the face just steps from the Chelsea Market in July, police said Thursday.
On July 26 at around 10:30 p.m., the shirtless stranger began chatting with a 72-year-old man who was sitting outside on Ninth Avenue near West 18th Street, according to officials.
While it's unclear what caused it, the shirtless man then slugged the 72-year-old in the face, who then fled into the nearby NYCHA Fulton Senior Center, police said.

First responders brought the injured man to Lenox Health Greenwich Village in stable condition, according to police.
NYPD officials described the man as about five foot eight inches tall, wearing multicolored shorts, black slippers and no shirt. The NYPD also released images of a person believed to be connected to the attack.
