Anti-LGBTQ Hate Crime Sees Man Punched, Robbed In West Village: Cops
Police released photo Tuesday night of a man wanted for the Christopher Street attack on June 9.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A man hurled anti-LGBTQ slurs at a man he punched in the face and robbed of a wig and a necklace in the West Village, police said Tuesday night.
A 27-year-old was attacked outside a church on Christopher Street near Bleecker Street on June 9 about 1:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The suspect fled into the subway and the 27-year-old was taken to Bellevue after the attack, police said.

About a month later, police released an image of the suspect, who they say was last seen in a black hat and holding a red cellphone, according to police.
