Arrest Made In Fatal Washington Square Stab: NYPD

Police said they arrested a 30-year-old man and charged him with murder.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police say they have arrested the man responsible for a fatal daytime June stabbing in Washington Square Park.

Khajah Gaye, 30, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with murder, according to officials.

On June 22, Edward Bullock, 35, was stabbed in the chest inside the iconic park just before 4:30 p.m., according to officials. First responders brought Bullock to Lenox Hill Healthplex Greenwich Village, where doctors declared him dead, police said.

According to the Daily News, the stabbing was spillover from a longstanding feud between the two, who both sometimes slept inside the park.

in 2017, Gaye was found carrying a large, double-edged knife when he was arrested for jumping a PATH train turnstile, reports the Daily News.
