Construction Worker Electrocuted At West Village Site, FDNY Says
FDNY is responding to a report near the intersection of Seventh Avenue South and Morton Street.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Emergency workers are responding to reports that a construction worker was electrocuted while working in the West Village, fire officials said Tuesday.
The city's fire department said it was responding to a report that a worker was electrocuted in the neighborhood, near the intersection of Seventh Avenue South and Morton Street, an FDNY spokesman told Patch. The report was called into the department at about 11:44 a.m. on Tuesday morning, he said.
The spokesman was not immediately able to provide any additional details except to say that firefighters were on scene and reviewing the situation.

A Con Ed spokesman told Patch that the man was a contract worker at the site. The worker was a construction welding contractor, he said. The spokesman said he was conscious and alert when he was transported to the hospital for unknown injuries.
