WEST VILLAGE, NY — A duo of buddies have been plucking headphones right from the tops of people's heads all over downtown Manhattan, police say.

The first incident happened April 6 on West Houston Street, near Hudson Street, when the pair stole a set of $550 headphones from a 27-year-old woman's head at around 5:30 p.m., police said.

Just a few days later on April 11, police claim the same pair was at it again in Flatiron, on Park Avenue near East 21st Street. A 23-year-old woman wearing $500 headphones found herself at a loss when the pair swiped them from her head at around 4:30 p.m., officials said.
