WEST VILLAGE, NY — Passers-by may have recently noticed signs on a West Village storefront advertising jars of Carbone pasta sauces, a sight possibly leading some to believe the company behind the popular brand and New York City restaurant may be opening a store.

Wish away, but it's not happening, a spokesperson for Carbone owner Major Food Group told Eater New York.

"That it is simply a billboard, not a store," the spokesperson told the publication, referring to the saucy ads greeting people at 576 Hudson St.
