Downtown Trains Delayed By Person On Tracks At West 4th Street
C and E trains are still delayed Monday after NYPD got a person off the tracks near West 4th Street, the MTA tweeted out.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Multiple trains are delayed Monday after NYPD got an unauthorized person off the tracks near the West 4th Street-Washington Square station in Lower Manhattan, according to the MTA.
Northbound C and E trains are delayed as of 2:20 P.M., but both train local lines have resumed making normal stops from Canal Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle, the MTA tweeted.
The two train lines were momentarily running express earlier on Monday.

The MTA also says to expect delays in A train service as it shares the track with the trains that were rerouted due to the unauthorized person.

The MTA did not provide an update on the person who ended up on the tracks.
