GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — The Greenwich Village Film Festival is underway and you can still catch the final screenings and the award show.

The festival "celebrates Greenwich Village as a physical place, as one of the most photogenic neighborhoods of New York City."

The Greenwich Village Festival's sponsors include Lower Manhattan institutions such as the Cherry Lane Theatre, Buvette, Grove Street Block Association, Oscar's Place, and more.

The films screening on Thursday include "Kennebec-On-Hudson," "La Tecnica," "Shero," and "Geri And Rick." You can check out the full list of movies here.

The venue for all the films is the Quad Cinema at 34 West 13th Street.

The screenings on Thursday will be followed by a Q & A with the filmmakers, an awards ceremony, and an after-party at the Quad Bar on 34 West 13th Street.

"Our mission is to honor and keep alive this sense of community and creative environment by discovering and bringing together new independent artists and their work," the organizers of the festival wrote on its website.
