The hotel has filth flies, according to the city's latest inspection.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — The landmarked Jane Street Hotel in the West Village is known for its storied history — and, apparently, filth flies, according to the NYC health department.
The Jane Hotel, located at 113 Jane St., was first built in 1908 before ti was restored over a century later. Today, the landmarked hotel has a cafe and a bar, both of which were found lacking by the health department during its most recent inspection.
City inspectors found evidence of mice in the hotel, plus filth flies "present in the facility's food and/or non-food areas," although with other issues.
