Since 2018, the Maccabee Bar has been a pop-up tradition in both Boston and New York.

Bartender Naomi Levy founded the pop-up to help create a space for Jews who wanted to celebrate their own festive holiday during a time where it feels everyone is celebrating Christmas, according to the pop-up's website.

“I love Christmas and all of the Christmas bars that pop up this time of year,” Levy said on their website. “But I always felt like a tourist. There was never really anything for someone like me that wasn’t raised with Christmas.”

Regardless of your tradition, all are welcome to celebrate the fun and get their fill of cocktails, latkes and chutzpah.

The Maccabee Bar pop-up at Ollie West Village opened on Wednesday and will run until the end of the year.
