GREENWICH VILLAGE — A man attempted to rob a bank in Greenwich Village on Tuesday, police said.
At about 12:45, a man entered a Citibank on Broadway near East Eighth Street and passed the teller a note demanding money, according to officials.
Apparently the teller was unmoved by the request and declined to proceed with the transaction, police said, leaving the would-be robber with no choice but to run out of the bank empty handed.
