Man With Cuts Found Dead In West Village Train Station: Police

The man was found in the West 4th train station early on Thursday morning, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A man with cuts throughout his torso was found dead Thursday morning in a West Village train station, police said.

Officers found the man shortly after midnight within the West 4th Street and Sixth Avenue train station, police said.

The man was unconscious and unresponsive near a stairwell ramp area of the train platform with cuts throughout his chest area, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
