Man Found In Greenwich Village Dies, Police Say
Police found a 33-year-old man lying outside a Greenwich Village building on Wednesday morning.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A man who was found lying unconscious and bruised in the middle of a Greenwich Village sidewalk died early Wednesday morning, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call at about 2:16 a.m. reporting that an unconscious man was lying outside of 110 Christopher St. in the Village, the NYPD said in a statement. Police found the 33-year-old man unconscious and with "slight bruising on his head," the NYPD said. Emergency responders rushed the man to Lenox Hill Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities did not immediately identify the man on Wednesday morning. The city's medical examiner will determine what killed him. No arrests have been made and police are still investigating his death, according to the NYPD.

The man was found lying outside an apartment building in the Village, blocks from the Stonewall National Memorial.
