Man Hits Woman In Head With Rock In West Village: Police
The woman, 67, was sent to the hospital after being hit in the head with a rock on West 14th Street, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A man hit a woman in the head with a rock in a random attack that sent the victim to the hospital, according to police.
On July 6, a stranger approached a 67-year-old woman walking on West 14th Street near Seventh Avenue at about 9 a.m. and struck her in the head with a rock, according to police.
The man fled on West 15th Street towards Eighth Avenue and the victim was brought to a nearby hospital for an injury to the head, officials said.

Police described the man as about six foot two inches tall, with long, dark hair, a beard and wearing dark pants and a green shirt.
