MTA Cleaner Hit In Face With Metal Pipe In Lower Manhattan: Police
A woman cleaning the E train platform at Chambers Street was hit in the face with a metal pipe, police said Thursday.

LOWER MANHATTAN, NY — An MTA worker was hit in the face with a metal pipe while cleaning a train platform in Lower Manhattan, police said Thursday.
The 46-year-old woman was suddenly attacked while cleaning the E train subway platform at the Chambers Street station about 6:45 a.m. on Nov. 4, police said.
The man struck her in the face then ran as other MTA workers chased him onto a southbound 2 train, police said.

The woman suffered swelling and bruising to the face and was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.
