WEST VILLAGE, NY — The neighborhood just got a new seafood restaurant with the opening of Mollusca at 1 Little W. 12th St.

The eatery is opening in the corner building of the block that has housed multiple restaurants over the past decade, most recently Bagatelle New York.

The location is also adjacent to Gansevoort Plaza.

Mollusca offers a raw bar with crudos and ceviches, soups, spinach risotto, raviola with caviar, and a Wagyu filet in cacio e pepe sauce, reported the New York Times.

The New York Times added that the restaurant has an Italian touch, with its executive chef Gianmaria Sapia hailing from Savona, Italy.

"Dear friends! We are pleased to announce that we are open and look forward to meeting you in Mollusca," the restaurant wrote recently on its Instagram.

There were dozens of positive reactions to the opening Instagram post, including, "Good luck! This place is amazing!"

Mollusca's website still says coming soon, but it is clear from its Instagram page that the restaurant has opened for business.

Another post on its Instagram page calls itself an "upscale seafood restaurant."
