Pedestrian Killed By MTA Bus In Greenwich Village: FDNY

The MTA said a Staten Island express bus was involved in the accident.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a MTA bus Wednesday afternoon, according to FDNY officials.

At just after 1 p.m., a pedestrian was hit by a MTA bus at East 13th Street and Broadway, said the FDNY.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, according to officials.

Officials from the MTA confirmed that the bus involved was a Staten Island express bus that was in operation and laden with passengers at the time of the crash.
