Police are looking for man who threatened a woman with a knife in June.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police are searching for man who threatened a woman with a box cutter while the two were riding an F train in June, authorities said.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of the man suspected of threatening the woman. Police said that on June 7 at about 9:35 a.m. the man extended and retracted the blade of a box cutter toward the woman. The two were riding a northbound F train approaching West 4th Street Station. The 31-year-old woman was not injured and exited the train at the next station, where she called police, authorities said.

On Thursday, police released surveillance photos from the 14th Street Station, where the man with the box-cutter left the subway after threatening the woman, authorities said. The NYPD is asking for the public's help identifying him. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
