Police Seek 4 Robbers In Afternoon Houston Street Stickup: NYPD

Officials said a group held up a West Houston Street smoke shop and made off with nearly $1,500 of goods.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Four men, one possibly armed, held up a West Houston Street smoke shop, steps from the NYU Silver Towers, and made off with at least $1,400 worth of goods, according to police officials.

The stickup happened on Tuesday at about 4 p.m., when four people entered a business on West Houston Street near LaGuardia Place and demanded goods from the 19-year-old clerk behind the counter, officials said.

One person in the group gestured in his sweater that he had a firearm, police said.

Three of the men in the group reached over the counter and made off with around $1,400 worth of goods before fleeing in a dark-colored Honda sedan heading west, according to officials.

Police released surveillance photos of people they say are connected to the incident.
