West Village Pop-Up Restaurant Has Eye-Catching Theme: Rude Service
It's only January, but in a neighborhood that's seen cat food and horror-themed dining, an eatery filled with Karens might take the cake.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A popular new pop-up eatery is opening in the West Village this spring, but don't expect quality service.
Karen's Diner, which has locations across the country, is opening in March at an undisclosed location in the West Village.
The concept of the eatery is centered around the joke and meme about "being a Karen," which is generally in reference to a middle aged white woman who is quick in asking to speak to a manager.

"It's an absurd, unique environment full of laughs, banter and top-notch American diner style grub," reads a description of the dining experience from the eatery. "We pride ourselves on our terrible service, rated 1* by Karen herself! This is dining with a twist - the food is great, the service is ungrateful but your experience will be unforgettable."
The menu is made up of hamburgers, chicken wings, hot dogs, sides, and desserts.

The menu item names play on the concept as well, with hamburgers named"Karen's Got Real Beef" and "The 'I Want to See the Manager' Karen."
In a section describing possible dietary restriction while eating at Karen's Diner, it jokingly explains its as your own risk.
"Karen does (the eatery), but she's not happy about it. If your name is Karen and you are ordering a vegan burger, you must be a brave, brave woman (that or stupid..)."
