WEST VILLAGE, NY — Three teenagers robbed a 19-year-old woman last weekend on a Manhattan subway train and then beat her up when she asked for her belongings back, police said.

Officers are searching for three teenage girls, believed to be between 17 and 19 years old, who took another teenager's wallet on Oct. 14 at about 6:45 p.m. inside the Union Square subway station, the NYPD said. The teenagers took the other 19-year-old's wallet from her purse and boarded the L train, according to police. The 19-year-old followed the teenagers onto the train and asked for her wallet back.
