Thieves Steal From Lockers At 16 NYC Gyms, Police Say

Credits cards stolen from lockers at 15 Planet Fitness branches and a Blink Fitness were used to charge more than $2,000.

NEW YORK, NY — A duo of thieves is stealing from lockers at dozens of New York City gyms and using pilfered credit cards to make thousands in purchases, police said.

Bilal Patterson, 36, has robbed members of 15 Planet Fitness gyms and one Blink Fitness between Aug. 21 and Nov. 13 this year, police said. The gyms are located all over the city in neighborhoods such as Greenwich Village, Midtown Manhattan, Harlem, Coney Island and Downtown Brooklyn, police said.

A woman named Rachel Lovely, 37, was identified racking up more than $2,000 in charges on credit cards stolen by Patterson at businesses such as Walgreens, Duane Reade and CVS pharmacies, police said.

Police released mugshots and surveillance photos of both suspects on Tuesday.
