WEST VILLAGE, NY — Cafe Loup will reopen today — a week after the famed French bistro was seized by the state for unpaid taxes.

The iconic literary haunt announced the news on social media.

The restaurant was shuttered last week by the New York State Department of Taxes and Finance over four outstanding warrants for nearly 242,000 in unpaid levies, according to state records that still list the warrants as active. The New York State Department of Taxes and Finance did not immediately return a request for comment.
