West Village Eatery Named Among 100 Best Outdoor Restaurants In USA

WEST VILLAGE, NY — With the summer fully upon us, more and more people are opting for outdoor dining, and a West Village eatery was just named among the nation's best in the category.

OpenTable, a food review and reservation website, just released its list of the "100 Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining for 2022."

The restaurants were identified by combing through 13.6 million verified diner reviews on the website.

Without further ado, here's the West Village spot that made the list.

RH Rooftop Restaurant: 9 Ninth Ave.

The West Village restaurant features an ingredient-driven menu with a curated selection of over 60 wines and a selection of craft beers.

Patrons dine outside and underneath a glass-and-stell atrium surrounded by fountains, London plane trees, and chandeliers.

The dinner menu includes prosciutto, crispy artichokes, arugula salad, burgers, lobster rolls, and more.

The number of New York City restaurants listing outdoor dining spaces in 2022 compared to pre-pandemic in 2019 saw an increase of 141 percent — the largest jump in the country.

There was only one other New York City restaurant to earn a spot on the list of the 100 best outdoor dining eateries in the United States.

"Offering outdoor dining is now a key part of restaurants' business, and we're happy to see that diners continue to embrace it," said Susan Lee, Chief Growth Officer for OpenTable, in a news release.
