West Village Election Guide 2022: What To Know About Local Races
Here's everything you have to know about the candidates and incumbents running in the West Village this election.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Election day is right around the corner on Nov. 8 and there are a handful of races for candidates representing the West Village.
It does not mean, though, there will be any competitive races.
Here are the West Village races that will be on the ballot this Election Day.

Assembly District 66 (Tribeca through the West Village)
- Longtime incumbent Deborah Glick is running uncontested to keep her seat. She defeated challenger Ryder Kessler in the Democratic Primary.
Congressional District 10 (Lower Manhattan to Brooklyn)

- After defeating a laundry list of candidates in the Democratic Primary, Daniel Goldman is running against Republican Benine Hamdan, and third-party candidate Steve Speer.
Statewide Races
There are also four state executive offices up for election on Nov. 8: governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and comptroller.
Governor
- Incumbent Kathy Hochul (D) vs. Lee Zeldin (R)
Lieutenant Governor
- Incumbent Antonio Delgado (D) vs. Alison Esposito (R)
Attorney General
- Incumbent Letitia James (D) vs. Michael Henry (R)
Comptroller
- Incumbent Thomas P. DiNapoli (D) vs. Paul Rodriguez (R)
Proposals
There will also be four ballot proposals to decide on this election.
- Proposal 1: Clean Water, Clean Air, And Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022.
- Proposal 2: Add a Statement of Values to Guide Government
- Proposal 3: Establish a Racial Equity Office, Plan, and Commission
- Proposal 4: Measure the True Cost of Living

The early-voting period lasts from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6. You can find available times to vote on the above link.
