West Village Hospital Opens New State Of The Art Suite: What To Know
Lenox Health Greenwich Village just opened a new endoscopy suite as part of its commitment to bring more services to the West Village.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — The Lenox Health Greenwich Village medical center in the West Village opened a brand-new suite on Thursday as part of its ongoing effort to bring more services to the neighborhood.
The 3,000-square-foot endoscopy suite, which cost $1.49 million to build, comes fully equipped with two procedure rooms, the latest technology to perform endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures, as well as recovery areas.
“We are delighted to expand Northwell Health’s world-class gastroenterological expertise to a convenient location at the heart of the West Village,” said Arun Swaminath, MD, chief of gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital, said in a news release. “With a prominent and diverse team of specialists, we will be able to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to people within this community and across New York City.”

Lenox Health Greenwich Village is part of Northwell Health, meaning that after a diagnosis, doctors can send patients to a variety of specialists part of New York's largest healthcare provider.
In terms of endoscopies and colonoscopies, Lenox Hill was designated "high performing" for gastroenterology and GI Surgery by U.S. News and World Report's most recent rankings.
