Here's what Eater NY had to say about the sushi spot.

"All of the seafood here is flown in overnight from Japan (except for the tuna, which comes from the North Atlantic), with deliveries arriving four times each week," Eater NY wrote. "While the menu is highly seasonal, some of Isoda’s best-known bites are his maguro zuke nigiri, an akami tuna marinated overnight in dashi, and his 40-day aged toro."

Omakase Room by Mitsu was previously known as Omakase Room by Tatsu, and is now headed by chef Mitsonori Isoda.

Isoda is the former executive chef of Jewel Bako. The setup of the West Village sushi meal is a 14-course, $180 omakase.

The restaurant says its dining experience is "built around a relationship of trust and spontaneity between the Chef and each diner," reads its website.

Its space aims to evoke Japanese minimalist traditions by its "organic shapes and refined essentials," and also features floor to ceiling bamboo surfaces.
